Lori Csaszar is the Managing Partner and Co-Owner of ThunderBoss Bar & Grill. Lori brings over 20 years of business development, marketing & management experience along with a love and passion for hosting friends and family to good food and good drink.
After working in corporate America for over 20 years, she had taken a brief hiatus to support her husband’s career, spend more time with their three kids, Kate (19), Mia (18) and William (16) and pursue other passions. In June 2017 when learning one of the only lakefront restaurants on Green Lake had closed, Lori and her husband, Chris, felt passionately that the community was in great need of a casual lakefront dining option. Green Lake had always been a special place for their family. Countless memories and traditions were formed in Green Lake over 8 summers of vacationing there. It was at that moment she thought it was time to put her skills and experience back to work and build a lakefront bar & grill that they, along with the community, could enjoy.
Prior to this decision to build ThunderBoss, Lori was Marketing Director at Salesforce.com, the world’s 4th largest software company and named by Fortune as World Most Admired Company 4 years running. In this role, she worked closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop a go-to-market and field strategies specific for the financial services sector. Prior to this she was the Vice President of Strategy and Operations for the search engine marketing company, IMPAQT. During her tenure there she developed operational excellence across the company to ensure profitability and sound working relationships across all departments resulting in 230% growth over 5 years. She was also responsible for managing the company’s consulting staff that developed online marketing campaign best practices to ensure the highest customer satisfaction for their all enterprise clients across all industries.
Before IMPAQT, Lori was the Director of Global Engagement Management Services at Ariba (an SAP company) and was responsible for hiring, staffing, training and leading 80+ engagement managers across the largest key customer accounts. Previous to this role at Ariba, she was the Director of Global Education Services and managed a team of client trainers and education designers to develop and deliver technical training for it’s software for its clients as well as developed marketing strategy to sell the team’s services. She led the successful transition to convert this department from a cost center into a profit center for the company. Prior to leading the Global Education Services team, she was the Director of Packaging Vertical Services leading a team of consultants on strategy for sourcing and procurement for its clients. Lori’s first role after graduating from college was at the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP as the Manager of the Corporate Legal Assistants working on IPOs, Public Offerings, M&A transactions, and incorporations.
She holds an International MBA Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Westminster College in 1993. She holds a certification in Corporate M&A and Securities Law from Duquesne Law School in Pittsburgh. In 2004, she served on the Board of Directors for Manchester Craftsman Guild which is a non-profit organization headquartered in Pittsburgh that educates and inspires at risk youth through the arts. She was also responsible for initiating and developing the annual Silver Lining efforts over the last 4 years in rural towns in Mexico that serves kindergartens and orphanages in great need. (Silver Lining is a non-profit organization for her husband’s company, Appirio).
When she’s not working towards the development of ThunderBoss Bar & Grill, she spends time with her husband traveling and supporting his business as well as other ventures in which they have shared passions. They share and spread their time with their 3 kids across her hometown of Pittsburgh (which explains her love for the Steelers), Chicago, and most recently, Green Lake. Lori also has a fervor and dedication for learning about people’s experiences that shape them, and launched a personal blog in 2013 called “Story In All” @ storyinall.com where she chronicles such stories of inspiring people she meets along her travels. So be warned, you may be her next blog post!
